New · Secret chats and bots in groups

Group calls that write themselves down.

Start a call from any chat. Turn recording on, and when it ends the whole thing is transcribed by speaker, the summary and the to-do list write themselves, and you can still ask questions about it months later. Free, with no ads and no advertising profile built from any of it.

Also on Android and in any browser

On your phone

The whole thing fits in a thumb.

Swipe through

  • Chats and folders

Work in one tab, family in another, swipe to pin or file anything away.

  • Spaces

Work in one, everything else in another. Space from the chat list, account from Settings.

  • Group calls

From any chat, no link. Everyone sees the recording badge the whole time.

  • Summary and coach

A couple of minutes after you hang up, the recording explains itself.

  • Focus

What is actually on you, pulled out of calls and chats. Only you have this screen.

  • Decisions

Every decision with its reason, its owner and the second it was said.

  • Meeting memory

Ask about an old call in plain words, jump straight to the second.

  • Voice, translated

Heard in your language, still in the sender’s own voice.

New in chat

Write it, decide it, do it — without leaving the thread.

Polish a draft with AI, ask the room, share the list or the place, and send somebody back to the exact message. Each tool lives where the conversation already is.

  • AI message editorFix mistakes, shorten a draft, change its tone or translate it into 11 languages. Preview first; nothing is sent for you.
  • PollsOne or several answers, named voters, vote changes, deadlines, shuffled choices and quiz mode.
  • Shared checklistsAnyone in the conversation can tick an item, and the list shows exactly who completed it.
  • LocationSend where you are or choose a place on the map, with its address, distance, travel time and routes.
  • Mentions, drafts and pinned chatsMention the right @handle, come back to the draft saved in that chat, and keep important conversations at the top.
  • Links to messagesCopy a link to one message. A member of that chat opens the exact place instead of searching for it.

Calls and transcripts

No links to schedule.
No bot asking to join.

Everyone in the chat is already invited. Press call, turn recording on, and everything after that is automatic: the recording is processed when you hang up and the transcript, the summary and the coach appear in the thread.

  • Start from any chat

One tap and everyone in the conversation can join. No calendar, no meeting link to paste.

  • Transcript by speaker

Produced from the recording once the call ends. Each line carries who said it and the second they said it, downloadable as text or subtitles.

  • Meeting coach

Who spoke how much, how often people were interrupted, which questions never got an answer. Per call, never turned into a rating.

  • Screen sharing

Share a tab or the whole screen. It takes the main frame the moment it appears.

  • Blur or replace the room

Background handling runs on the device, so nothing extra has to be installed or paid for.

  • Guests by link

Someone without an account can still join, with a name and nothing else.

  • Everything lands in the chat

The video, the transcript, the summary and the to-do list all appear in the same thread, a couple of minutes after you hang up.

Focus

Everything that is actually on you.
Nobody else has this page.

Questions you were asked, promises you made out loud, things you were told to know about — lifted out of calls and chats as they happen and put on one screen. Four shelves, a count on each, and every line able to prove where it came from.

  • Every line carries the quote it came from, and opens the message or plays the exact second of the call.
  • Answer in the thread and the line closes itself. Nothing has to be ticked off twice.
  • One morning notification, only if you switch it on, with counts in it rather than contents.
  • There is no manager’s version of this page, no score for anybody, and no automatic nudge into somebody else’s chat.

Decisions

What you decided in March can still explain itself.

A decision stops being a sentence in somebody’s notes and becomes a record: the wording, the reason behind it, who owns it, who was in the room, and the second it was said. When a new one contradicts an old one, the app says so in the thread — and quotes the old one rather than paraphrasing it.

  • Nothing is filed behind your back. Every extraction arrives as a proposal, and a person confirms, replaces or rejects it.
  • A superseded decision stays readable, with the chain that replaced it and the day it stopped applying.
  • Every record keeps its source: a message, or a recording with a marker on the timeline at the right second.
  • A decision you are not allowed to open is never quoted at you, not even inside a warning about it.

This contradicts a decision from 12 March

Meeting memory

Ask an old call a question, six months later.

Every recording becomes searchable in plain language. Type a question the way you would ask a person, get an answer with the quote it came from and a button that plays that exact second.

  • Answers only from calls and chats you can already open, never from a room you were not in.
  • Every claim carries the quote and a play button for the exact second it was said.
  • Access-aware answers never quote a room the person asking could not open.

Spaces and accounts

Work and the rest of your life, in one app and not in one list.

One login, several spaces. Choose the space above your chat list and the chats, groups, people and search all change with it. Your name, your @handle and your job title belong to the space rather than to the account, so the you at work and the you everywhere else do not have to be the same person.

  • A chat belongs to exactly one space. A colleague you also know privately is two conversations, and the work one says so in its header.
  • Join an organisation by scanning the QR code your admin hands out, or automatically when you confirm a work address on a domain they own.
  • Space switches from the chat list, account switches from the top of Settings. Two places, because they mean two different things.
  • Several accounts on one device, each with its own session and notifications. Badges add up, and an incoming call knows which account it is for.

Secret chats

A conversation that belongs to two people and their chosen devices.

Secret chats are end-to-end encrypted from the start. The keys stay on the protected devices, while SMeet carries ciphertext it cannot turn back into the conversation. Choose the device that receives invitations, send text, voice, photos, video or files, and set messages to disappear after both sides have read them.

  • Available in the web app and in SMeet for iOS and macOS, with the same encrypted conversation on its selected device.
  • Disappearing messages are removed rather than replaced by an “expired” placeholder.
  • Search stays on the protected device, and secret-chat content does not enter server-side summaries or Meeting Memory.

SMeet BotsPilot

A bot answers in the chat, including the group chat.

Create a bot in SMeet BotFather, connect a program in Python, Node.js or any other language, and let it work in private chats, groups, topics and channels. The program stays on your server; group owners decide where it is installed and exactly what it may do.

  • Support without the queueCommon questions answered at once, and the order number collected before your team steps in.
  • Status updates, on requestA person presses Notify me once, and the bot writes when their request or order changes status.
  • Bots in groups and topicsAddress a command, reply to the bot or mention it. Reading every new message is a separate visible permission, off by default.
  • Explicit permissionsSending files, deleting messages, pinning, moderating members and posting to a channel are granted independently by the owner.
Buttons under a bot’s message: a press goes to the bot’s program, a link opens the browser.

Four SMeet bots

Four bots for the work around the conversation.

Use them in a private conversation or bring them into the room where the work is happening.

  • S

    @search_bot

Answers a question with a concise result and its sources, in a private chat or when addressed in a group.

  • F

    @feed_bot

Brings RSS and Atom updates into a private chat, group, topic or channel — immediately or as a digest.

  • H

    @helpdesk_bot

Turns a message into a support ticket, keeps its status visible and connects the person with the operator group.

  • G

    @guard_bot

Applies a group’s moderation rules, spots floods and spam, and acts only with the permissions the owner granted.

Voice messages

And your voice messages speak eleven languages.

Record thirty seconds of yourself once. After that, anything you send can be heard in the other person’s language and it still sounds like you. Transcription comes free with it, for the times nobody can listen.
