Everything in the box
One app, and no line item for the second one.
Chat, HD conferencing, meeting intelligence, a personal commitment list and a record of what the company has decided are one product, not five integrations. Below is the whole surface, grouped by what you are actually trying to do.
Meeting intelligence
Nobody writes it down, and it is all still there.
Recording, transcription, summary and search are one pipeline that starts by itself. Focus and Decisions come from the same analysis pass, so there is no second wait after the call.
Per-speaker transcription
Every recorded call is labelled by who said what, timestamped to the second, downloadable as text or subtitles.
Automatic summary
Decisions, action items with assignees and due dates, topic tags, and unanswered questions, generated when recording stops.
Ask across everything
One question in plain language searches every transcript and message you can already open. Answers carry sources.
Jump to the second
Every citation deep-links into the player at the exact timestamp, with the segment highlighted.
Speaking-time chart
Who talked, how often they were interrupted, how many questions went unanswered. Per meeting, never aggregated into a rating.
Access-aware by design
Retrieval runs with the caller identity, so a result can never quote a room the asker was not in.
Focus
The list you never wrote, and nobody else can read.
Questions you were asked, promises you made out loud, things you were told to know about — collected from calls and chats as they happen, onto one screen that belongs to you alone. No manager’s view of it exists, and that is a rule of the product rather than a setting.

The four shelves
Waiting on you
Questions put to you in a call or a chat, and incoming questions in a direct message that never got an answer.
You promised
Action items where the owner is you, plus first-person promises you typed: “I’ll send the estimate by Friday.”
On you to decide
Decisions you own that have reached the review date set when they were made.
For your information
Mentions that need nothing back from you. They expire on their own after seven days.
Counts, not badges
Each shelf collapses to a number. An overdue line is marked, not painted red across the whole screen.
Where a line comes from
Out of the meeting
Action items and unanswered questions come from the analysis your recording already runs. No second pass over the call and no extra model to pay for.
Out of the chat
A deterministic detector rather than a language model: addressed questions, incoming questions in a direct chat, explicit promises, mentions.
Never without a quote
A line exists only if it can show the sentence it came from and the source that sentence lives in.
Who is taking this?
When a meeting named a task but not a person clearly enough, participants are offered it instead of somebody being guessed at.
Nothing gets hidden
Focus is an extra screen, never a filter over your chats. A list that hides things loses trust the first time it is wrong.
Closing, digest, handover
It closes itself
Answer in the thread and the waiting line closes. A question that surfaces late from a transcript does not reopen one you have already answered.
Done, or not mine
Promises are closed by hand, and one tap removes a line that was never yours.
Your own morning digest
Off until you turn it on. Time, time zone, working days, and a “not today” that skips exactly one morning.
Handover with an audit trail
An admin moves an open list to a successor with the reason recorded before the package is shown, a 15-minute preview, an editable briefing and one atomic transfer.
No oversight screen
No page shows somebody else’s Focus, no completion rating exists, and nothing aggregates who missed what.
Decisions
Six months of “why did we do it this way”, answered from the record.
Every decision becomes an object rather than a line in somebody’s notes — wording, reason, owner, witnesses, source and status, with the chain of what replaced what. And when a new decision contradicts a live one, the thread says so and quotes the old one instead of paraphrasing it.

Ship 4.2 on Thursday, after the infra review
What a record holds
The wording
One canonical sentence — “billing is calculated on our side” — rather than a paragraph of notes around it.
The reason
Taken from the same transcript, because “why” is the expensive half to reconstruct a year later.
Owner and witnesses
Who is answerable for it, and who was in the room when it was made.
The source
A recording with the exact second, or a message with its thread. Both open straight from the card.
Status and review date
Proposed, active, superseded, revoked, expired or rejected — plus the date you said you would look at it again.
The contradiction watch
Meaning, not keywords
A new decision is compared against the live record of the same space, so different words about the same thing still collide.
It has to quote
A warning that cannot produce the older decision’s own sentence is never shown.
Three answers
Replace the old one, mark it a refinement so both stand, or say it was not a decision. A dismissed pair is not raised again.
Nothing activates itself
Every extraction, from a call or from a chat, arrives as a proposal and waits for a person.
Conflicts you may not see
When the older decision sits somewhere you have no access to, you are told a conflict exists without it being revealed, and can keep yours as a separate proposal.
Where you meet it
A card in the thread
The warning arrives where the decision was made, not in a separate inbox somebody has to remember.
The Decisions tab
Filter by status, topic and owner. Supersession chains expand in place, and statuses read in greyscale.
Markers on the player
The recording timeline is notched wherever something was decided. A click seeks to that second.
Weekly digest
One message into the space channel: new decisions, ones that replaced others, ones due for review.
Onboarding view
Twenty live decisions in order, chains included. The fastest way to hand a project to somebody new.
Memory prefers the record
When a confirmed decision answers the question, the answer comes from it rather than from a raw fragment of transcript.
Messaging
Fast enough that nobody opens the other app.
Sub-second delivery, threads and edit history, plus the tools that turn a conversation into an answer: an AI editor for the draft, polls, shared checklists, locations and direct links to messages.

Draft · AI preview
I’ll send the revised plan before 18:00.
Write and send
AI message editor
Fix mistakes, shorten, make a draft friendlier or more businesslike, add light humour, or translate into 11 languages. Preview it first; AI never sends for you.
Mentions by @handle
Type @ and choose the right person from handles, not just display names.
A draft per chat
Anything written but not sent stays in that conversation until you come back.
Scheduled sending
Pick a time and keep a panel of everything waiting to go out.
Links to messages
Copy one message’s link so a member of the chat opens the exact place.
Act in the chat
Polls
Single or multiple answers, named voters, changed votes, deadlines, shuffled choices and quiz mode.
Shared checklists
Anyone in the conversation can tick an item. Each item shows who completed it, including when several people did.
Current or chosen location
Send where you are or pick a place on the map, then see its address, distance, travel time and route.
Reactions and custom emoji
Six quick reactions plus a corporate pack only admins can extend.
Read receipts in groups
A count under your own message; open it to see who read.
Keep the conversation clear
Threads
Side-panel sub-threads with reply counts, so a long argument never buries the room.
Topics
A group can open into a list of topics instead of one stream, each with its own unread count.
Edit history
Anyone can open it. Nobody can quietly rewrite what was agreed.
Pinned messages and chats
Keep important conversations at the top and key messages in a collapsible bar inside the group.
Public channels
Only the owner posts; everyone else reads. A shareable link opens the channel and joins in one tap.
Content and findability
Voice and video messages
Waveform and speed control, one-tap transcription, plus round video notes that play inline.
Files up to 2 GB
Drag, drop or paste, with image previews directly in the chat.
Media gallery
Photos, videos, files, links and voice messages from one chat, each in its own tab.
GIF, stickers and saved messages
Search GIFs, keep recent stickers, and forward anything into your private chat with yourself.
Folders, search and offline queue
Organise chats into folders, search across every conversation, read downloaded history offline and let queued messages send when the connection returns.
Secret chats
End-to-end encrypted, device-bound and deliberately separate.
A secret chat is a one-to-one conversation whose keys stay on the selected protected devices. SMeet relays encrypted envelopes but cannot read their contents, so these messages do not enter server-side search, summaries or Meeting Memory.
Choose the receiving device once in Settings. Invitations then go there directly — no device picker every time a person starts a chat.
- One protected device per invitationThe invitation opens only on the device selected for secret chats. Other signed-in devices cannot accept it by accident.
- Messages that disappear after readingChoose seconds, minutes, hours or days. Both people see the timer change, and expired messages simply leave the conversation.
- Text, files and mediaSend photos, multiple-photo sets, video, documents, voice messages, round video, locations, polls and shared lists through the encrypted channel.
- Search and media galleryFind text and browse photos, videos and files on the protected device, including a full-screen swipe gallery for media.
- No forwardingSecret-chat messages stay inside the secret chat instead of being forwarded into an ordinary conversation.
- Web, iOS and macOSThe same secret-chat flow is available in the browser and the Apple apps, with private push notifications that do not contain the message text.
Calls and conferencing
A call is a chat that started talking.
No links to schedule, no separate room to join. Everyone already in the thread is already invited, and the recording lands back in the same thread when it ends.

In the call
One-click group calls
From any chat. Owners can disable calls for a group entirely.
Screen sharing
A shared screen takes the main frame the moment it appears.
Virtual backgrounds
Blur or replace, processed on the device, no extra service.
Network quality per person
A five-bar indicator, so you know who is actually dropping.
Picture in Picture
Keep the remote feed while you use another app.
Getting in
Native incoming calls
CallKit on iOS, full-screen notification on Android, a separate window on desktop.
Guest links
People outside the company join a public group’s call with a name and nothing else.
Voice-only answer
A first-class choice on the incoming screen, not an option buried in a menu.
Reconnect grace
A dropped connection is retried before the call gives up, and the room is still there when it comes back.
Call history
Every call with direction, duration, participants and its recording.
Broadcast
Go Live
Broadcast to the whole company from a stable link at your own username.
Stream chat
Viewers talk during the stream, guests included, with report in the header.
Auto-record
Group owners can have every conference recorded without anyone remembering to press anything.
Recording posts back
The video, the transcript and the summary land in the group chat when the stream ends.
Voice
Speak once. Be understood in eleven languages.
A thirty-second enrollment clip is enough. After that any voice message you send can be translated into eleven languages and played back in the sender’s own voice.

Spaces and accounts
One login. As many organisations as you actually belong to.
A space is an organisation with its own chats, groups, directory and search. Choose one above the chat list and everything below changes with it; your display name, @handle and job title belong to that space rather than to the account underneath. For genuinely separate identities there is a second switcher at the top of Settings.
Space
Chats, groups and people belong to one space. The same person is a separate chat in each.
Account
At the top of Settings: switching account changes who you are, switching space does not.
One identity, many spaces
A space per organisation
Chats, groups, the member directory and search are all scoped to it. The public side of the product is simply one more space.
A profile per space
@handle, display name, avatar and job title live in the space. One account, one password and one email underneath them all.
One thread, one space
A colleague you also know privately is two separate conversations, and neither shows up in the other’s list.
Your own card
Status line, birthday, personal @address and QR code live with your profile.
Findable by membership
People can look you up when they share a space with you — and only while you leave that switch on.
Getting in, and out
QR codes and invite links
An admin issues one with a role, a lifetime and a use limit. Print it for the onboarding meeting; revoke it and the link and the code die together.
Join by work email
Confirm an address on a domain the organisation owns and membership follows automatically, or arrives as a request for the admin to approve.
Guests
Contractors and clients get a guest membership in one space rather than an account inside the company.
Suspension
A suspended membership loses the organisation’s chats, groups and directory. The conversations stay with the company rather than leaving with the person.
Nothing is backdated
Joining an organisation never pulls your existing threads, files or recordings into it. Policies apply to what happens afterwards.
Two switchers, two meanings
Space switcher
Above the chat list, next to the content it changes. One tap, and chats, groups, search and the directory follow.
Account switcher
At the top of Settings. It deliberately does not share a menu with spaces, because it changes who you are rather than what you are looking at.
Separate sessions
One stored session per account, one of them active and the rest cold. Signing out of one leaves the others alone.
Notifications know the account
Push registration is per account, badges add up across them, and an incoming call knows which account it was for.
Devices
Every signed-in session with its device, address and last use, revocable one at a time.
Platform and security
The parts your security team will ask about.
Roles, moderation and access controls are built in rather than bolted on. AI retrieval runs with the caller’s identity, so an answer cannot quote a room that person could not open.
Access
QR sign-in
Scan from the phone to authenticate any browser, no password typed.
Role-based authorities
Granular permissions behind every mutation, not just in the interface.
Multiple accounts and spaces
Several accounts on one device and several organisations inside each — see Spaces and accounts.
Social sign-in
Google and Apple, with Apple mandatory once any other provider is present.
Moderation
Block and report
On every member profile, with the last messages attached as context.
Owner moderation
Group owners delete any message in their own group; edits stay author-only.
Admin oversight
User management, message review and account hand-over in the admin panel.
Everywhere
Push on every platform
iOS, Android, web and desktop, with badge counts that agree across devices.
Dark and light
The web messenger starts dark, remembers your choice and applies it to every chat surface.
English and Russian
Full interface localisation out of the box, extensible to any language.
iPad multitasking
Split View, Stage Manager, and a landscape call with the transcript beside it.
BotsPilot
Your own bots, inside the messenger.
A bot is a separate account marked Bot. Create it in SMeet BotFather, run its program on your own server, then use it after Start in a private chat or install it in a group, topic or channel with explicit permissions.

Talking to a bot
Private chats after Start
A bot writes privately only after the person presses Start. Stop and Block work at once, and the bot’s code cannot undo them.
Groups, topics and channels
An owner installs the bot from the room profile. Topics carry their own chat identifier; a channel can grant posting without granting moderation.
Addressed by default
Without extra access, a bot receives commands addressed to it, mentions, replies and button presses. Reading every new human message is a separate permission and starts off.
Buttons, replies and edits
Callback and link buttons, replies to a message, and edits of the bot’s own messages work in private and group conversations.
Photos and documents
Photos up to 10 MiB and documents up to 20 MiB, in both directions, each checked by an antivirus scanner.
Building one
SMeet BotFather
/newbot asks for a name and an address that ends in _bot; /mybots, /setcommands, /pause and /deletebot do the rest.
A token shown once
On a protected screen, never in the chat. Revoke it or issue a new one at any time.
Your server, your code
The program runs wherever you choose and calls the Bot API over HTTPS. SMeet never runs bot code.
Long polling or webhook
getUpdates needs only outgoing HTTPS; a webhook request is signed with HMAC-SHA256.
One event model
Messages, edits, deletes, files, callbacks and membership changes use the same API in direct chats and team rooms.
Permissions and organisations
Explicit per installation
Receive all messages, send messages or files, pin, delete, ban and publish to a channel are independent choices the owner can change.
No old history
Installing a bot never hands it the conversation from before the installation.
One space per bot
An organisation’s bot is visible to its members only, and its token cannot reach another space.
Two organisation switches
Owners and administrators allow creating bots and running bots separately. Both start off.
Web, iOS and macOS
Bots work in the web app and in SMeet for iOS and macOS. Android support comes in a later release.
SMeet bots
Four useful jobs, four clear addresses.
@search_bot
Answers with sources
Ask privately or address it in a group. The answer comes back with links and the time the results were checked.
@feed_bot
RSS and Atom where the team reads
Subscribe a private chat, group, topic or channel, then choose immediate updates, a digest, keywords and quiet hours.
@helpdesk_bot
Support from message to resolution
People open and follow tickets in chat while operators answer from their own protected support group.
@guard_bot
Moderation with visible rules
Detects spam and floods, starts in observation mode and removes content only when the owner grants permission.
Continuity
The conversation survives the hand-off, the commute and the lost signal.
Message links open the exact place, invitation and meeting links hand off to the native app, and the send queue waits safely when the connection disappears.
- Offline send queueWrite and send without a connection; messages leave in order when the network comes back.
- History stays readableRecent conversations remain available when coverage drops.
- Links to the exact messageA hand-off opens the right conversation at the right place instead of asking somebody to search.
- Native deep linksInvitations and meetings open in the installed app rather than stopping in a browser.
- Files up to 2 GBShare a photo, file or link from another app straight into the conversation.
Open one app, and keep the whole thread of work together.
The web app and native apps share the same conversations, calls, files and meeting record.
